Clara Dao Shares What She's Been Up To In 2022 (And Hints At What's Next!)

The last time we spoke to Clara Dao, she told us about her New Year's Resolutions - but with the end of 2022 fast approaching, it was high time for a catch up.

TheThings sat down with the body positivity content creator, to hear what she's been up to since we last spoke - and she hints at what may be in store for her in the coming months!

Clara Dao Jokes About Her Traveling Conundrum

When we spoke to Clara ahead of Christmas last year, she revealed that it had been years since she'd been able to visit her friends and family in Vietnam.

Reason being? She was still awaiting her Canadian Permanent Residence card.

Nearly a year on, Clara has residency, and that's allowed her to travel freely - a privilege she grabbed with open arms.

There's just one thing: now that Clara has traveled, she's found that she might just be happiest in Toronto.

"I traveled so much this year, and it was so much fun ... but I think I burned myself out!" she laughs.

"It's so interesting because during Covid, I couldn't wait to travel, but after two months of traveling, I ended up feeling exhausted by it."

Clara mentions that she also moved in-between trips, and her new neighborhood still has much to explore.

"I don't feel like I have to get away to see new things - there's so much to do in my new space!"

That said, while she's happy to stay put at least for the time being, Clara hasn't totally written off travel.

In fact, she has something exciting on her agenda for the coming months ...

"A friend and I are planning a trip to Hawaii, either for December or early next year ... so here's hoping that in the next two months, I'll be over my travel burnout!"

Clara's Already Planning Her Next Set Of Resolutions

2022 may be winding down at a rapid rate, but most of us aren't even beginning to think about New Year's resolutions.

Clara is, though - but she's not waiting for 2023 to implement them.

Asked what she's looking forward to in the near future, a look of determination flashes across her face.

"I've been trying to work on a healthier lifestyle - just going to bed and waking up at a consistent time," she laughs.

"I think other content creators can probably relate, because we don't have a schedule. I could film at 5pm while it's still bright out, and go to bed really late, like 6AM ... and then wake up again at 3PM. I'm not running on normal time!"

"As simple as it sounds," she chuckles, "it's really something I want to work on. Sometimes it's hard to have the self-discipline, but I'm determined!"

Clara Shares What Fans Can Expect From Her, Going Forward

On the topic of content creation, we asked Clara what fans can expect to see from her in the near future. Spoiler alert: more of her!

"I just want to keep pumping out more content. Right now, I'm posting basically once a day, but I want to push that to twice a day."

That said, Clara is a self-love icon, so she's also not putting too much pressure on herself.
